Keeping options open
You might be unsure what direction you want your career to take yet – that's fine. It just means you need to keep your options open when you're picking your subjects and keep them quite broad.
You could choose some subjects which are known as ‘facilitating subjects’. This means they’re asked for more often than others for courses and jobs. These include things like Maths, English, Physics, Biology, Chemistry, History, Geography and Languages.
Finally we would like to further enlist your support in talking to your ward about IGCSE and beyond. These examinations are designed for students of all ability levels, in the UK the target for ‘average’ students is five passes at A*-C grade including English and Maths. In order to achieve at this level and above students will have to be serious about their academic work. There is some tough content but the level of success is a direct reflection of the commitment made from day 1. We can offer all the support in the world but in the end they are the ones who will enter the exam room and it is their future.
.Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions what so ever about this process.
With thanks for your continued support.
