Welcome to the Mzuzu International Academy website, and thank you for taking the time to find out about our school based in this part of the warm heart of Africa.
Drawing students from the area around Mzuzu, other parts of Malawi and an increasing number of expatriate children the school offers a safe, secure multicultural environment for students from Year 1 to Year 11 to study and develop in.
Although adapted to meet the needs of our student body and to make best use of the wonderful environment around us the school's programme is based upon the National Curriculum of England and the requirements of CIE IGSCE programmes. Despite being a relatively young school, founded in 2010, Mzuzu International Academy has already developed a reputation as a centre of academic excellence in Northern Malawi. The academy' s programmes are delivered by highly qualified and dedicated staff made up of Malawian and expatriate teachers.
In addition to a top class academic programme the school prepares its students for the challenges of the future through its pastoral and support programmes. All students are constantly reminded 'if it is to be it is up to me' and their role and responsibility in taking full advantage of the many opportunities on offer at Mzuzu International Academy. We are a learning centred organisation in which all actions are focused by the simple, but important idea, that all we do in school must have a positive impact on learning.
With the support of its many sponsors, all of whom are recognised in this website, the school continues to grow and continually add facilities to its extensive campus. If you would like to find out more about Mzuzu International Academy please contact us directly or take up our open invitation to visit our campus.
My colleagues and I look forward to you visiting our campus.
With all best wishes
